Academic options
The University of Los Andes interested for its students to have the opportunity to complement their professional education offers novelty mechanisms which, without additional cost, enable to widen student’s horizon, propitiate their integral formation and strengthen their training level. Such mechanisms refer to designing a group of courses within a specific discipline named “Option” where an undergraduate student can generally take fields other than his/her curriculum although students can also take options within his/her own department. Core subjects of the curriculum can not be completed when students take options within his/her own department. Some options are currently offered in several fields of basic sciences, from arts and human sciences and from social sciences. Each Option has its own organization and students accepted in any of them shall receive a certificate of studies carried out once all requisites have been completed.
